Prior to joining TIR, Dave held a variety of positions in the timberland investment sector.  He came to TIR from Truist (Formerly SunTrust) where he was an Asset Manager responsible for managing forests throughout the U.S. Southeast.  He held a similar role for nearly 13 years with BTG Pactual’s Timberland Investment Group (Formerly Regions Timberland Group) where his purview included managing forest assets in the U.S., Estonia, Hungary and South Africa. Dave is a Certified Forester and a member of the Society of American Foresters. He earned both an undergraduate and MS degree in Forestry with a specialization in Forest Soils at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).  Prior to his time at Virginia Tech, Dave served as an infantry team leader with the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division.
